Hello to all on this board! I am on the hunt for an mid to late 50's Bear hunting bow. 60" to 64", 48 to 55 lbs at 28" draw length. (Static limbs ok, I currently shoot a '53 Grizzly with static-limb tips)It must be a shooter, I can refinish most any cosmetic defect, put on new grip, arrow rest, etc. I have a budget of up to $150.00 maybe a bit more if bow is in good shape. I am afraid my Static Grizzly (48# @ 28") will not hold up, it had a damaged limb when I got it! Repaired it and have shot 200 to 300 arrows out of it but I would be crushed if it failed before I get a chance to take a nice whitetail with it this year. I am a big history buff and have enjoyed reading the threads on the Little Delta bow a bunch. Fred Bear was MY MENTOR. I never met old Fred, but I followed him on hundreds of game trails and lanched a few thousand arrows with him over the years. I think I have read and reread every word that he wrote or was written about him. I have seen every video he has ever been in and all of the old American Sportsman episodes in which he appeared in. I an 48 years old now and I still am in awh of what he acomplished during Bowhunting's infancy. He and the others of his day were truly great men and their exploits have filled life with a passion for this sport! If any of you have a bow like I described above and want to let it go to a good home, e-mail me please! (work:
