info on a broadhead
« on: December 24, 2005, 09:12:00 AM »
Howdy and MerryXmass, I was given a broadhead by a friend and was wondering if any one new anything about it. It is two inches long ,white metal, two bladed with the blades haveing a slite twist. The lettering on the head is Cascersen Die Co. Madison Wi..The writing is faint ,so it could be wrong. thanks Nute

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Nute,
The broadhead you described was made by Larry Becker and Bob Casperson. They made a few different models and I believe the one you're describing is the production model, tapered ferrule broadhead. It was first made in 1950. It weighs approx 135gr, 2.6" long and has a stamping on it of "Caspersen Die Co. Madison Wis". Hope this helps.
Tony

Here's the picture. Tony was right on top of this. Of course, he gets up earlier in the morning!
