Bear Kodiak Information
« on: March 23, 2007, 11:00:00 PM »
Hello I was wondering if anyone out there would know what my bow is worth? I searched the Bear website and have determined that it is a Bear Kodiak (1950 - 1951). It was the recalled bow that had the aluminum laminate in the limbs. The serial number is K-4-1540. It has a running bear logo and Pat. Applied For label on it. The bow is not split and is in very good condition. I have attached a picture of what the limb looks like.

Thanks

I have seen the aluminum lam K-4 Kodiaks sell on **** regularly for $175-$250, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. Hard to say with just the pic of the limb tip to go on.
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

I had one that I shot regularly and after about a year it developed a case of string follow as the aluminum fatigued and started to sag-like us humans do. LOL!
I have another one now that simply 'decorates'. It is a 60# so there is no temptation to string it anyway.
