help with old bows
« on: May 18, 2007, 04:52:00 PM »
My buddy has 3 old bows that I was interested in trying to date for him:
-----Bear Grizzly Recurve 58"/50# SN KR02510
-----Bear Bruin II Recurve 58"/45-50# SN BR01815
-----Sabre Archery Recurve 66"/41# ("66"-40-96)

Any help would be appreciated.

The K in the Serial number started in 1970.

The medallion was flush in the riser until 1972

The Flush Medallion was Brass from 1963 to 1970
The Flush Medallion was Nichel/silver from 1971 to 1972.

I might be wrong but that is some of the info I have gathered.
