What Herters Bows Are These?
« on: September 30, 2007, 08:51:00 AM »
Got these two bows from a friend of mine.
The one with the white/pale yellow glass says, "Perfection Sambar 56" Jr."  Also says 31# @ 28"
The other one (with dark glass) has the Herters decal and is marked "AA-2664 48" 20XX @24".  Any idea what model this is?  Both are in very decent shape for their age. Any idea what they are worth?  Look like they would make a couple of great bows for kids.
Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.

Hello Goose

The bow on the left appears to be a Sambar Junior from the 60's. Does it have a serial number on the riser?

The other one appears to be a Model Perfection but the serial number has me stumped? By it's length and solid/versus laminated riser I would guess it is about a 1970 or so.
