camo dipping an ACS CX
«

I'm thinking about getting one or both of my ACS CX's dipped from vc finishes or h20 imaging. The question I have, is it a durable finish? I have found the finish from the factory to be a little lacking in the toughness category. I hunt with mine so I have a tough time keeping them from getting chips and scratches. I was just hoping this might be the answer for a tough durable finish.

If I'm not mistaken you can have several clear coats applied, to help w/ the durability. Check out this link. Let us know how it turns out.

Sneaky,
I had my ACS-CX camo dipped last summer in Predator from VC Finishes. I found those folks to be competent, pleasant to deal with and they performed a quality service. The final finishing was quite durable and I see no reason why one would apply any sort of Top coat over the VC finish.
Absolutely zero complaints

Thanks Mike, I had been leaning toward VC Finishes. Think I might have them do one bow in predator and the other in a wood grain pattern.
Thanks, Cade.

Hey Mike, how much did the dipping cost for your CX?

Mike, I noticed they were able to leave the writing on the bow. Were they also able to leave your serial numbers and the writing that is between the riser and limbs? I'm just curious as to how they keep from dipping certain parts that you may not want dipped.

Whoa that sure is a man-purty bow! Don't put that one down in the woods Mike,,, you might not be able to find it.

Sneaky, I'm not sure how the magic works...perhaps they just mask off the area they don't want dipped and peal off the masking tape afterward....but I'm not sure.

Here is a couple pics of John's Camo Apogee. Gave me the idea to get mine done in Mossy Oak Forrest Floor when the time comes.
Love the bow Mike, and thanks for sharing with us! Might have to give it some serious thought for one or both of my current CX's...
