That's what I thought. There was definatly no writing or numbers under it.

Yes the tips are green. They match the riser, not the green glass.

Bowdoc, do you think the bow you mentioned was refinished by Bear, and that's why it has silkscrens and not the older decals?  Daryl

Yes I do.....I think it's a very rare factory refinsh....but what got me buggen is it has 1954 K-2 color fiberglass on the belly as well and should be kinda redishbrrown...transitions bow?? 1953-1954----1957 refished.Weird looken odd duck. But then again nothing and I really mean nothing suprizes me that came from bear archery. It was really rare for bear to refinish bows,do to the cost. They would normaly just replace the bow with a new model.Unless you were really insiting on getting your own bow back. Then one of the guy's who worked in the pro shop would have to refin the bow...That very well could be one of those bows right there..pretty cool bow if nothing else...bowdoc

and a 73 pounder to boot, now that's a man's bow.  Maybe that's why the original owner wanted that particular bow back, instead of a lighter "girlie" bow they might have had on hand. Daryl
