There are three different models of the St. Charles that I know of.
The original had a covering made of brushed Elk skin. The next generation was slik leather (cowhide?). The final version had a vynel top that looked like teather. Now as collector's value goe, I think you can guess which is themost valuable and which is the least.
I had an original that I bought in 1962. Before I gfot into collecting, it was in my attic for years. we built a new house, and I have not seen it since. Vanished. My son bought my old house and I told him to keep an eye open for it.
I just bought a Slick leather version about three monts ago from e8ay. I think I paid about $85.00 including shipping. I feel I got a good price.
Like bows, a lot obout a quivers value depends on condition. I would rate this one about an 8.
I wantedto get anoter elk hide model, but the bids just kept getting past what I wanted to pay. I ould go $100.00 for one in decent shape, but no more. Is it worth more than $100.00? Not to me. My hope is that one day I will open a box from our five year old move, and there it will be. That would be like finding a pristine dogleg in a pawn shop for $25.00. It happens, but not often enough to even count.
