How much does the #2 (seconds) stamp mark hurt the value of a 57 Kodiak?

Well actually the bow may have been made into a second by the stamping of the 2 into the wood.As for value it should not affect the selling price of the bow to much.A little maybe.But a lot of the 2 stamped bows were not blemished but only sold at a discounted price with no warrinty....bowdoc

I have a chance to pick one up, its not really what I'm looking for, but its super clean and looks like birdseye maple.

No kidding,those are super good shooters and will flat out smoke and arrow and shoot with any new bow built today.57 are great bows..Keep us posted...bowdoc

Don, so what's up with the glass on the '57 Kodiaks?  I've seen more than a few that are riddled with stress cracks... a much higher precentage than the '56 and '58's I've seen.  Did Bear have an issue with the glass that year?

Oh, my 64" '57 is golden  :D
