X10 bow?

Who made bows in the 60's with model names X10, X15, X16 etc?? Rosewood risers...

A lot of the Shakespeare line was actually made by bowyer Ernie Root. Most had a name, plus the number designation. I have a very pretty one that is "Pecos X-23". I know for a while they were named after different hunting areas or forests. Pretty nice old bows that probably don't get the credit they deserve. CKruse

My X-30 is the Super Necedah with some killer zebrawood. Even with their "oversized" grip, I still like the way they perform.

I awlays thaouth that Ernie Root had his own bow company that was tlater bought out by root.  After that they were called "Root by Shakespeare".

Not saying that I am right and Cameron is wrong...just what I alwasy thought.

I have been known to be wrong once in a while...and Cameron has know to be right...once in a while.

Ernie Root did have his own company. He then built for Shakespeare, and eventually sold Root to Shakespeare around 1967. I believe he stayed on for a while as their lead bowyer. I once thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken!    :p   CKruse
