Help me tune my heavy Kodiak
« on: November 23, 2008, 06:50:00 AM »
I have a 60lb 65k that I would like to hunt with during the late archery season in PA. I've never delt with one of these older bows in this amount of weight. Just wondering if 60/65 spined arrows would be a good starting point, or will it need a heavier spine? I have a 28" draw, and like a inch to an inch and half overhang on my arrows. Also most of my BH's and fieldpoints are 125/145gr, sure would like to use them if possible! Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi Chuck I'd add 5# for the extra overhang.60-65 as you mentioned would be a good starting point. But may try a 65-70 also.bd

TRB I think I'm gonna give those 65-70 a try. If they don't work out I have another bow they may work in. Thank for the advice!

Is that when it's drawn to 25 inches Bjorn?

J/K I can draw 65# also, about twice and then I go get something fun to shoot.
