Howard Hill Big 5..Just Acquired
« on: December 03, 2007, 02:57:00 PM »
Here's a few photos of my latest acquisition.  A Howard Hill Big 5, bamboo and juniper, 66", 53@28".  It's a used bow but in great shooting shape.

Very nice, gotta agree with Mike G - the simplicity of a HH bow is the key to their beauty..........

Sweet!
What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

That's a piece of archery history right there.

I can't shoot 'em worth a darn, but I plan to hang one on the wall someday.

I just got it today and had to go to work before I could shoot it.  I'll get at it tomorrow.  Anyway, today the wind was gusting to hurricane strength here.  I'm off Wed. and Thur. so will take it to the stump woods.

Looks great! Always liked the Big5's. Or any other Hill bow for that matter.

Whats the brace height set at? In the pic it looks to be braced kinda high.I always liked em braced around 6-6.5".

HH recommendation for 66" is 6 1/4" brace height I believe. Brace mine at 6 5/16. Very nice bow George. Can't say enough about the 'Hills. I love 'em.

Nice bow, George!  Love those Howard Hills.  In fact those bow specs are almost exactly what I've been looking for!  So if you don't like it I think I know someone who would shoot it for you....
