Jeremy that '59 has about the best riser ever! I wonder if that was originally for someone special?

Bjorn, I think the guy just got lucky when he ordered the Kodiak.  If there was any real history to the bow I'm sure I would have heard it (and paid for it!)  All my '59s have really nice rosewood, but the Kodiak is something else!

It was advertised as '59 but I wondered about the black and white overlays. When it arrives tomorrow I will post some pics and see if the serious collectors can help me out with the vintage.

Bjorn, you are getting very sleepy, just watch the bright shinny object swinging back and forth, your eyelids are becoming heavy. There is nothing you need to bid on until the '59 K comes around in 4 days - its item 140297065142. When I snap my fingers you will awake with nothing on your mind but that bow in 4 days, there is nothing til then, there is nothing til then........

Shaun - Shaun - I believe your bow will prove to be a 1960. I just left you a PM. My email is not working right now, however, I can receive a PM...

Thanks Shaun us old guys need all the help we can get! You scored either way the shortie Kodiaks have been going for a lot more.
A 56" Kodiak is the real deal! I have a 50# 56" 1960 that is an awesome shooter!

Sorry bd, I know you wanted me to win that bid for the 64" K with the arrows and the papers but some commie pinko ^($&#)&^$ , er I mean, some fine fellow collector with an eye for a classic and the good sense to out snipe me, ended up with it.

Meanwhile, I am planning to spend the afternoon tomorrow with the new short 60 if it shows up on schedule. Is it 50 years old if I'm standing in Australia ? - they have some kind of date line between here and there, might be worth it.

Heck yes Shaun you should like that one as those are pretty good shooters.I actually think the 1960 is a bit better shooter then the 1959 in 56 60 and 64 inch models.I like them all.bd

Well, I'm the commie SOB. I put my back to the wall and beat off Shaun and another sniper.
Hope there are no hard feelings Shaun. Congrats on the '60 also, thats a sweetheart right there.
I've never paid that much for a bow, especially one that needs work, but I think the 64" will work well for my 30" draw.
Now I've got to deal with those tips, and dress it up for spring turkey hunting.
Can't wait to open that arrow box and smell Grayling!!
