Bow building instruction

I would like to go to a bow building school for glass and wood longbows.I have built 5 bows and am an experienced woodworker but have a lot to learn. Any reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks and good huntin.

Fedora offers classes on bow building if you want to go that route.  I think most start with watching the Bingham videos a few times and then venturing out on there own with advice from other bowyers here, the bowyers journal, and other sites.  Good luck. Tim

As far as the woodbow info. goes, have you read the Bowyer's Bibles? 3Rivers sells 'em.

Man, if I wanted to learn how to build glass bows, and Bill Howland offered me a chance to come to his shop to help get me started I would be checking on the price of plane tickets!  Nice gesture Bill   :thumbsup:

Guys, I am overwhelmed. This Trad-Gang is great!I've read everything I could get my hands on.Binghams stuff,Traditional Bowyers Bible,Traditional Bowyers of America and even Jack Harrisons More Unnecessary Fun.Unfortunately reading isnt doing.Building bows is a special skill.Thank you all. I have already sent a PM to Bill.
