Oregon Rabbit hunt.
«
on:

I have been talking with "Snag" on here, and there is a good population of rabbits here in the high desert where I live (Lakeview, Oregon). Thought I would invite you trad gang Oregon boys out for a hunt. Or anyone else for that matter. Sometime this next spring, weekend thing, camp out. If there is enough interest, should be enough shooting for everyone.

Sounds like a good tune-up to get shooting after the winter.

Lakeview Oregon, Very south East border of Oregon. 140 miles south Of Burns Oregon Jack rabbits a plenty, there are a few Cottontails, but sure rocky where they hang. Might be able to swing a little coyote calling. It would be great to shoot with all of you fellows!!

Seven hour drive from here in Sandy roughly. It would be fun to do but I don't think I'll make it, just to much driving for me.

It may be a bit of a drive, but I know a couple guys that might be interested, and Snag lives around here too-perhaps we can get a carpool from Eugene area and head over.

After Mid-March and basketball season, that'd be a hoot. Keep us posted.

IF you guys have any dates that sound good let us know. Not a whole bunch of tree's out there but lots of sagebrush, We would have to haul in our own firewood. Sounds like we might get a good turn out though. There is miles and miles of good spots for us to got chase rabbits out there. I know of a few good central spots to camp.

I would say First of April on would be good, Weather will be better, not so cold for camping. Depends on the yr, March can be great too. Anyone from out of state will have to have A Oregon license to hunt to awnser a earlier question.

I'd be in for a bunny hunt. We would need to time it so not to conflict with the TAO Golf shoot.
Might be a good time to check out the new late deer hunts for 08' as well.
