Count on it next year, Bruce, but you gotta promise to give Tim a bad time about ducking work to hunt piggies with the Wensel bros in two weeks (don't let on I'm really jealous!)

Ok guys, I have a serious question to all the bunny hunters.  Is this for traditional gear only? I have a brother inlaw who is a compound shooter, he really needs, and wants, to come to this shoot.  I have taken him into hunting 30 years ago, he has progressed by selling his 30-378, this year, and upgrading to a Hoyt with wheels, he just needs time to make the final climb and hit the pinnacle. We do not want to interfere with the wishes of any of the hunters in this group. If there is one person who will be offended by him bringing a compound PLEASE post here or PM me and he will not come, or leave it behind. This is going to be a great time.....

I'm bringing a heavy Whip, a light Whip, a takedown Whip, and a long Whip, by the current arsenal count looks like the bunnies might take a WHIPPIN ( or not).......doug

I'm not offended. Heck I use to shoot a compound until I was allowed to try a recurve. I was hooked after that experience! Maybe this would provide him with the same opportunity I had. We are all archers and hunters. Just my opinion....

That's my birthday weekend and I think I might be able to make it. A bit of a drive from Horseshoe Bend but it sounds like fun!

Did the scouting trip turn up some rabbits?

Dan, I have been out in the Sycan area before. This looks like it is to the east of it. If I have it right the coordinates are  42deg.47.755'N  120deg.15.925'W  at 4534ft. elevation.  I tried to copy my topo map program and post it here...haven't been successful yet! There looks like a lot of roadless land north of there and to the west of Lake Abert.  Looks good!

I am hoping to head up on Thursday---The map is not showing up on the post. Can you recommend a place to buy a renewal license that is easy to get in and out pulling a trailer?

Yolla Bolly  True value up town is the only spot I believe you can.  Park in the Jerry's or Safeway lot and walk down there. Just a couple block from there.  Myself and a buddy will be heading out Fri about noon. Also to those that can, Remember a little firewood, there is none out there to cut by camp. I will bring some.
