I'll be working down at the coast all spring, otherwise I'd partake in "bunnyquest".

Too bad you didn't plan this for the end of March, some of the fella's might have enjoyed stopping in at Glass Butte for Knapp-in. Not too far up the trail to Glass Butte!

Have fun and lose lots of arrows!

Well, it looks like my dysfunctional administration just killed my participation this year.  Not that I'm especially bitter about this, but it's a regular situation.  their inability to plan ahead shouldn't constitute an emergency on my part, but c'est la vie!

Yolla Bolly...it's a gathering out at Glass Butte where guys/gals/kids bust a bunch of rock, make and shoot bows, make and shoot atlatls, and basically most everything primitive. There's some mighty good knappers that show up.

It's going to be the last full week in March this year. Some folks set up teepee's, while others have camp trailers.

It can be cold and windy that time of year, and even a little snow.

Glass Butte is big obsidian quarry that has been used for several thousand years give or take. It's located just south of Hwy 20 between Bend and Burns.

Thought I was going to make it down for the hunt.  It is the same weekend as one of the bigger shoots up here at Moses Lake.  I will be there.
I will try to make the Knapp-in.  Sounds great.  I will get in touch with you Ron for more information.   Brock - Bull Mtn Archery

Curious to hear what bows guys are bringing to shoot. It might give some of us an opportunity to try a bow we have been wondering about! I will bring a Blacktail and a Morrison.

Sounds like fun!!

I hope my new bow is done by then. Lets see, David said 8-12 weeks, and I ordered her two weeks ago, I believe that I should have her with a week to spare.
What a great way to break a new bow in! I better start gathering some arrows.

God Bless,

Paul

Hey BI,

If your hunt hasn't filled up yet (sure there's plenty of room on the National Forest) a few of us from Hood River would like to come down!
