Help me Decide on a new bow
« on: February 21, 2009, 02:15:00 PM »
After reading bowdocs post on the resteration i thought its time for something new to play with.It has come downto three that are in my price range.59 Alaskan 68 Grizz which is flawless and a 57 Kodiak. The Kodiak is in good to very good shape mainly needs grip and side plate.Very few stress cracks solid tips.Asking 150.00.Everyone here talks about how they like the way the 57 shoots.Would this be your choice?Of the three i have listed. Then again that Grizz is sweet for a 100.00.Help

I would take all 3. IMO it’s better than money in the bank. You can always resell them for the same price or more.

Out of those 3 choices I'd take the Kodiak without hesitation.

Are you looking for a project as in refinishing?? If so start with the Alaskan.
If you are interested in a shooter, the Yak hands down.

Buy the Kodiak especially if you are going to start collecting.

Don't make the mistake that so many have made and buy less expensive Bears, Grizzly, Alaskan, Polar, then eventually upgrade to them to Kodiaks. Over the years, I have seen many shooter/hunter/collectors go through that upgrade process.
