Bear belt & buckle
« on: February 25, 2009, 06:05:00 PM »
Hi! I have a old Bear hip quiver belt and belt buckle I bought in 1967. The buckle is sliver colored with a brass coin set on the front. Any idea on what years they were produced and how many? Thank, Dan

Dan I have a couple of the buckles- one is lightly engraved western style and the other is simply polished chrome- each has a brass coin in the center. There was another buckle from roughly the same period that was slightly smaller plain-chrome as well. It seems to me that these were late sixties through mid seventies items but they may have lingered around a little longer.A later buckle was cast bronze and featured the compound bow.Sorry I couldn't be more exact,    Grant
