Removing fletching from carbons?

How do you remove fletching and the glue from carbons? Is there a secret that I should know? I was hoping you could dip the nock end in a solvent that would loosen the glue and you could pull the fletchings off...? or do you have to strip the feathers off and then scrape off the glue?

Man, I just use my pocketknife. Carbon is pretty durable stuff and the glue will jst walk right off the shaft. I actually asked the very same question here about a year ago and this is what I ended up with.

Use the back of a butter knife. Works great and you won't cut the carbon

I bought a couple to try last night. Wal-Mart has their archery stuff on sale right now. I picked up three Terminator Lites ($4.50 each) for my first venture into the world of carbon and will be re-fletching with feathers.
It will be a pocket knife for me to remove the vanes.

That potato peeler idea sounds promising....? I will try the pocket knife idea first though. Thanks.

I just use my pocket knife as well. Just make sure that you have your blade perpendicular to the shaft so as not to cut the shaft. I've re-fletched hundreds of shafts and have never had a problem with the shafts being cut or carbon fibers coming off them. Hope this helps!
