W.I. KING Bow arrived
« on: March 03, 2009, 07:58:00 AM »
:saywhat:  Well the post office just screwed up a little bit of history. It came in a box is the problem the seller should have put it in a tube for shipping. And the deal I thought I had just went away. He only insured it for 100 bucks, to bad.Its the first one that has came damaged. Anyone else have a postal meltdown !

Bill - Nice bow despite the splinters. Even though it is broken, I will give you a change to get half your money back... (my standard offer to anyone who has acquired something that I would like to have).

Have received a few damaged items over the years. They always seem to be poorly packaged by the seller.

For he most valuable bows, I always mail the seller one of my bullet proof boxes so I know the bow will arrive to me in the same condition that it left the seller's place. The extra cost to mail an empty box to the seller is inexpensive insurance in my mind.

Oh yes about 7-8 years ago.I bought an english made Wareing long bow for 100 and the seller said he insured it for 100 of which he did not insure it at all.Shipped it in very thin cardboard box and she got hammmerd. The P.O. would do nothing because of no ins.and the seller finally refunded my money. But what a wait of a great piece of archery history..I know this will not make you feel to much better but the King looks like you could maybe at least glue it back together and have it for display maybe ??? bd

Well....I'm hoping I can take care of the insurance at my end so I can keep the bow.

Wade...thats the way to do it with mailing them the tube or box.

Grumley Bow...I'm making plans right now to make a road trip to pick it up...not taking any chances

Cody....The Bow is Yew wood and made by an old time boywer. Best photo of WI King is the one of him with and Chet Stevenson with their "snaky" yew bows.

I still need to get a copy of that to  go along with the bow.
