Indian Archery Refinishing??
« on: March 10, 2009, 10:51:00 AM »
Hey guys this bow belongs to my father-in-law who used to shoot it as a teenager. He recently found it tucked away in the attic after probably 40 years. It definitely needs to be refinished but I want to make sure it's structurally sound first. The glass is all perfect and the only flaws I see are flaky finish on the limb edges and the limb tips are very dried out with tiny cracks in the wood overlays. This bow belongs to him and I am thinking of sending out to be refinished for him but want to know what you guys think and also ballpark figure on having it redone. Maybe bowdoc and droptine will send me their $.02 and maybe a price quote by pm.  Thanks for looking. Skippy

Skippy I don't know how I missed this post I normally don't and always have something to say about a restoration job.His bow looks like an very eraly 1960's model. Those small cracks could all most likely be repaired with some super glue and a little fresh finish she's look like new again.bd
