Whats my K. Hunter?

Got a new Kodiak Hunter today, its a divided wood riser (2 woods), coin is in flat, has the stabilizer hole, So that puts its '71, 72? The overlays at the grip is white and black, is that the norm for a '71?

You are probably close on the date. When you say white and black is it really white, black, white? 3 layers of glass? on some of the earlier years sometimes the glass would be reversed with black being on top. I am not sure why this happened if it was accidental or planned anyone know?

This one is white/black/white, Ive saw the b/w/b. Best I remember, the '70 don't have a stabilizer hole, and the coin isn't flush on the 72, I was wanting to know if black/white glass was a regular on a '71?

what side is the upper silk screen on ?
70 has upper silk screen on the back and no stabilizer bushing.
71 has the silk screen same side (back) on the upper limb and has a stabilizer bushing.
72 bushing but the upper silk screen in 1972 was put on the belly or shooter side of the upper limb. bd

Doc, the silk screen is belly side, coin flat. Must be a early '72 model, I'll post a picture to see if you guys can identify the woods used in this one?

And I'm going to guess 71. I'm basing that on the fact he says it does have a stab. insert, and wood types. CKruse

Thanks guys, The silk screen is on the belly, coin is flush, woods are those of the '71 model, it does have a stabilizer insert, the overlays are w/b/w, This about has to be a early '72? What about the white/black/white overlay is this found on the '71 and '72? Not that any of this matters, I just like to learn more about them and I keep records of my buys and sells.
