2 Cliff Coe bows at flea market today (maybe)
« on: May 01, 2009, 05:48:00 PM »
Picked up two bows at the flea market this week, just wish I would have paid what I consider flea market prices

Anyway one is a for sure a Cliff Coe Wolverine "Super 57." bad news is one of the tips is delaminating.

The second bow is also supposed to be a Cliff coe but has no distinguishing marks other then "DJE."  This looks to be in magic marker and is probably a former owners initials?
It too has tip delamination issues.
Anyway I will post some pics, hopefully someone can help ID the mystery bow.

Bow # 1 The Wolverine

Jim......Put the two on top of each other and see if the limbs line up, that might be a way to tell. I have three of Cliff's bow forms and I use them to check some bows now and then. It almost looks like it was made like a takedown with the limbs out front of the handle section.

John looking forward to see some more of Cliff's I have a good collection of them after getting the couple from you....Thanks.......Bill  :archer:

John/Bill
Thanks for the input.  The limbs match exactly except the tips extend a little further on the Wolverine.  Yes it does give the appearence of bolt on takedown limbs especially when viewed from the side opposite the sight window.  Both the riser and sight window on bow 2 are considerably shorter.

Once the tips are repaired should I shoot them?
