Li'l Kodiak Brace Height

I have a newbie coming on to ask for the correct brace height foir a Little Kodiak 20# 48" bow.

I have one and my brace height seems high.  I don't want to give him the wrong answer so I pointed him this way.  I wil lbe looking forthe answer too.

Anybody got a Bear CD.  Can't find mine.

I already posted, but will respond here also.
I have no idea of the year. How can I tell?
Serial Number is: 9S5970
It is of course "Glass Powered"
It is a "Little Bear"
It is a medium to dark green on front and back of the limbs. The wood is a natural color.
It has a nylon peg that can be placed on either side for RH or LH shooting.

That's about all I know about it. It came to me set at 7 1/4".

F1, I will respond here too. With the serial number it is a 1968 model year bow. In looking at the Bear catalog for that year it does show the nylon peg. The catalog doesn't give any specifics about brace height but does provide some "general" info.
It suggests that bracing the bow at the best brace height will give you:
1. Least wrist slap
2. Least string noise and vibration when shooting
3.An arrow that does not wobble in flight
How does it shoot at the 7 1/4" it came to you at? Others will chime in shortly.  John

Thanks for responding. I just noticed where you are from. My wife's father's family, Rudy, is from there! Small world.

I purchased this bow hoping to get my wife, daughter, or son to try shooting with a bow that is not hard to pull and therefore intimidating. I have some arrows to assemble, so it hasn't been shot by any of us. I do have to say that I was surprised when I measured the brace height on that little bow. I would have guessed in was much more than that, but it is relative to the size.

If the serial number is 9S5970, that would be a '69...not a '68.  Check the CD for a '69 and see what it says

OOPS! You are correct I "mis-spoke" when I typed 1968 but I was looking at 1969 in the Bear catalog (my typing skills aren't as good as they once were) I am always surprised by the lack of brace height info in the catalogs...unless they are listed somewhere I am not seeing. Shooting with my kids is very fun and I try not to "make" them do it but always ask them if the "want" to when I go out to shoot. F1: is Rudy her last name? Middletown HS? Glad to see you here at TG. I just measured my grandkids' bow and it was 7 3/8" with the string Raineman made for it.  It is peppy with 1/4" x24" cedar shafts.
