Arrow and quiver help?
« on: June 03, 2009, 01:50:00 PM »
Can you guys tell me what these arrows are?  under the nock is a metal piece you can see in the picture. Under the clear coat the wood has a look like weaved carbon. The pictures I don't think picked it up.

Last picture. Anybody got a picture of how these came new? I would like to see the original packaging and paperwork.

Photographs are a little blurry, but the arrows look and sound like the old Fleetwood glass shafts. Don't have any exact dates on production, but in the 1960s, we made up some arrows from raw Fleetwood glass shafts.

The Bear Leather Cap quiver was taped on to the upper and lower limbs, with the grip pretty much centered between the two brackets. Lots of guys are using different types of bands and rubber now rather than tape.

On this forum, there are several threads with photographs of different bows set up with this quiver using different attachment materials.

Here is one thread, do a search for others...

Wade has it, fiberglass shaft arrows and Bear heads from the early 60's. My guess is 1964 or 65. Many arrow makers of glass shafts during that time period.
