BEAR-Last weekend's trip items
« on: July 14, 2009, 10:15:00 AM »
Here’s some more of the items picked up last weekend, thanks to Roy giving me the heads up on the estate auction. But don’t think I’ll keep the left hand stuff. Just wanted to make sure the static is a 1952 Here?
1.1954 Compass Bow/Walnut set up for left hand with a 3 arrow LH Quiver 60” @ 48#
2.1952 Grizzly Static Tip 30# @26”Set up to shoot L/R( I think that’s the year)
3.Left hand Running Bear Back Quiver
4.Bear Pocket Quiver, (what’s really nice it’s a left or right)
5.2  Running Bear Arm Guards
6.Western Trap Thrower( will use to throw aerial targets ) ....Hink

I think this will be fun if I can get it rigged up to work with these disk.

Boy oh boy, I should immigrate to Michigan. Nice find!

BTW, Tom Phillips, the Quebec Bear Quest guide and great guy alltogether, was looking for a LH scabbard like the one you found. I believe it would go on a beautyful Grumley reproduction he shot a big bear with in this years edition of QBQ.  You might want to PM him if you are looking for a good home for it.

Thanks Guy's ......the estates sale's are hot this time of year, from where I'm at thought its 3hr.to 5hr.to a lot of them. There's one coming this weekend that's 5hr.or more each way. But it sure beats doing honey dues around here all weekend. I guess it’s The thrill of the hunt so to speak......
Has anyone ever used a bird thrower to throw  aerial targets. I think it could be a challenge if it doesn’t throw them like a woodcock flushing...there hard enough to hit with a shotgun. Hink    :archer:  .
