Rick,
It looks like the No# on page 111-8 of "Traditional Broadheads 1972-2007"
I used your image and drew a line across the ferrule laminations where they begin to flair out. This is the point were the raised ferrule of the #1432 begins, the No# is only .05" shorter.
This is not a recognized broadhead by the ABCC because the minimum ferrule length difference was established at .250" in order to be officially listed as a separate entry on the ABCC Broadhead Master List.
The .250" minimum ferrule length difference requirement has remained unchanged since it was originally established in 1987 during the first ABCC Master List Committee Meeting.
There are so many variations in broadheads, that some guidelines for Master List entries must be established and followed. However, many collectors also collect slight variations of the officially recognized heads.
Before the 1987 Guidelines were established, there were no consistent rules in existence and none could be applied when determining if a broadhead should be officially recognized. The single person in charge of the list made the determination without any established written criteria, and relied heavily on the input from the person wanting the head listed.
We all know collectors are crazy. Broadhead collectors are especially crazy. Now, the most serious collectors of Zwickey broadheads are not only crazy, they are just plain NUTS, which is proven by the fact you can hardly tell the difference between many of the listed heads...
