Just got done reading this book and just could not put it down. What a collection of adventures these two had all over the world. Really liked the background info that Bob provided. Sounds like Fred was truly an amazing shot. If you havent read it I would highly reccomend it to you. Lots of pics. Just a good book and wanted to share.

John, I am sure you saw the photo of Bob.. With the two bears he shot with a rifle in the book the photo from his Hardware store.. It's so cool that I live in the same state and city that Bob ran his hardware store in.. My grandpa got all of his archery stuff from Bob.. My grandpa got me a signed copy of the book by Bob's son a few years ago... The Munger's are great people..

Great read as well..

John,

I just got a copy as well, and also couldn't put it down! Great read.

And I kick myself every time I look at those pictures and at the pic of Bob and Fred and Mr. and Mrs. Eccleston in Wade's thread about Floyd's shop.

If only I would have caught on sooner I probably would have been able to meet and chat with them and others that were probably driving by my house on the way to and from Grayling. Life's full of 'if onlys' isn't it?   :banghead:

I thoroughly enjoyed it to say the least. What a grand time to be a bowhunter! The two of them heading out for months at a time on hunting trips. Amazing to read the details of some of their shots! So nice to read about their time together as two hunting buddies. I just never tire of reading about Fred.
