1966 Kodiak and brace height
« on: October 07, 2009, 12:31:00 PM »
Hello all,

New to recurves (longbow guy with newfound Bear bow sickness)and was wondering what the correct brace height is for this bow. I assume you measure from the deepest part of the throat of the grip to the string ... is that correct. Also, if anyone know of a quality string maker for this bow on our site ... please inform me so i can PM them. Thanks.   :goldtooth:

I have a 1966 Kodiak and mine likes a brace height right at 8 inches. Might be a starting point for you.

You are measuring brace height the same way I do.
