Vintage Jimbo Custom Recurve
« on: December 24, 2009, 10:46:00 PM »
Hi, I'd really appreciate any info on this beautiful old target bow.  Similiar to an Bear Tamberlane in that the riser is massive only with a lot more detail and it's equiped with an adjustable sighting system.  Written on limbs are; Richards, Jimbo Custom Del, and Russel Schrotenboer in black ink (cursive).

Wow! There's a lot of wood in that riser. How does it shoot?

Paul,
Did you ever contact the bowyer? The info I had said he worked for Howatt, and this riser looks a lot like Howatt.

Hi Ron, I did speak with the bowyer in J.C. and though he did not make the bow he knew who did.  I listed the bow on **** a week ago and it sold this morning.  The buyer informed me that it was made by Norm Richards who had an excellant reputation as a boywer.  Take care, Paul
