Bjorn, I have a '59 Grizzly that someone cut the tips off of just past the overlays. About where the delam is on your's. I put new Phenolic tips on her, narrowed the limbs a bit, and she's a real shooter. I'm in the process of putting snakeskins on her as well. I'll post when finished. I wouldn't be afraid to give it a go.

What length Kodiak is it?

I used loctite 420 (where'd they get that name  :bigsmyl:  ) to fix the delams, and then epoxy
to fill any splinters and gaps.

The only part of the bow that needed any work was the tip area and the back of the upper limb

The rest of this 64" 56# shooter was very solid.

Wow, never would have dreamed that one could have been fixed.  Nice job Bjorn.

Thanks Trap, this bow is especially memorable for me because Al Harford came over to apply the transfer to the upper limb.
Al of course, was a serious collector of vintage archery tackle.

Wow,to say the least! Great job. And with Al's help it must have a special spot in the rack.

Great job on that 59 Bjorn, I really like the 1962 you sold me and really should have a nice 1959 to go along with it. thanks, Ron.

Thanks Ron, wish I had some 59's for sale right now. This one can't be sold of course........even though the tip is holding real well I would always worry about it.
