Herters Sambar
« on: January 14, 2010, 03:17:00 PM »
I recently came across a Herter's Sambar and wondered if it had any collector value.  Years ago I had a Herter's Perfection Sambar but eventually sold it.

The Sambar I saw recently is still available but have no idea what to offer for it.  Any thoughts?

Nice looking bows, one of their more popular models I believe. I have a 1964 64" Sambar in mint condition and would not even consider selling it.

A very nice 62" Sitka just sold for $300 if that gives you something to go by?

Their old bows in good condition and the right poundage are fetching decent prices... Good luck  :)

Thanks for the pic.  Looks just like the one I'm considering except it has butterscoth glass
