Good to see Bears and the Shakespeare's too. The Shakespeare arrow shafts were made the same way as their fishing rods of the day-pretty cool.

Nice Shakespeares frassettor.  I have an old Shakespeare RH300 that may be from the same era.  I also have a few Shakespeare Wonderods from the 60s with the spiral wound technology.

Anybody know this guy?
The arrows were with a recurve left in a house that my buddy was contracted to clean up for a realtor. There are also a half dozen target (field) arrows of the same ilk, only with dark green shafts, no crest and green cock feathers, natural hens, parabolic. The heads are 1956, the recurve that was with the arrows was a mid-late 1960s shorty, I forget who made it. Not Bear. My buddy broke the bow by driving off with it on the car roof.

I have always wondered who made the arrows, was it this Bowbeer guy? They shoot well out of a low to mid-forties bow at my short draw.

Ah…now this thread is pure enjoyment (…‘cept for trying to get the picture stuff done).

The back-story is that when I was a young ‘un I used to look at all the pretty target bows in the magazines and think, “Nope, they look purdy but I’ll never shoot anything but hunting bows.” Funny how the years and arthritis have changed my thinking. What a pleasure it is now to hold them and to use them whenever I need to limber up for my hunting bows…nice for sharing too.

Trap: I have never seen a Bear arrow like your sea foam green one with the diamond pattern before. Super cool looking. Hand painted? Any chance for a close up? What year and model? I would love to look them up in my catalog CD and try to do some like that for myself.

Went to Baltimore Bowmen festival and here's what I got.  Enjoy!  (From top to bottom: 1-3 a pristine set of a dozen 1968 Bear Arrows with box and broadheads.  Very bottom: a not so pristine set of Ben Pearson's with broadheads...date unkown.)

Doc, I think that is an old Zwickey from the same era. If you click on the thumbnail, you'll get a bigger picture. Then click it again, and it gets REALLY big, so even old farts can see it. The bleeder is a cutout. As the arrow sits, the bleeder is cut out from the lower side.

I'm glad this thread came up again....I lost it some time back just when I had come across some old arrows to share.  The Flu-Flu's, came in a Bear Archery box but are unmarked...and there were only 3. The #7 Micro-flite's were in an old Kwikee quiver in a box of archery stuff that I bought at and auction.  I can't remember where the others came from but I thought the cresting on all of them were classic.
