Broken spine,,,
« on: December 09, 2007, 11:49:00 AM »
all the arrows that grouped so nicely with my 50# Brack Quest almost miss my block target wide RIGHT when shot out of my 50# ACS CX. new arrows with a stiffer spine is in order,,, need to keep the ones I have now in it's current condition if I wanna keep using them out of my Brack. just thought I'd share about my spinal problems.

kawika b, does this mean you shoot left handed?

i shoot right handed and for me hitting left means shafts too stiff.

i dropped to a 100grn point and my arrows seemed to fly better. when i first started shooting the CX i thought it was a grip thing but that was remedied by a few tips from Pete W (thanks again Pete). had my bro tape a shooting sesion and it's a trip watching the arrows just pull to the right. groups were tight but just right of my intended mark. don't wanna cut my arrows or pull the brass 100grn insert so i opted for lighter fieldpoints. i think i'll try some 5575 gt's that i couldn't use with my Brack,,, good thing i didn't toss em.

If you are right handed and your shafts hit left than they are too stiff, weak they impact right. I believe the Brack performs darn close to the ACS CX and ya should not see that much of a difference in point of impact. you may be gripping the bow differently or torqueing it. Are ya a righty or lefty K? Shawn

shawn,,, my brain was on auto pilot when i posted earlier,,, jet fuel fumes from work have worked their magic,LOL,,, i'm a righty and the arrows go the same when shot outta my CX,,, 2 tha right,,, about a good 6"-8" from intended (out of my Brack they HIT where intended),,, could also be that i'm having a better release too now since i've switched to a tab,,, angel tab is sweet,,, no torque,,, groups are tight,,, the broken nocks variety of tight grouping,,, just had to re-tune myself to the bow as Pete W suggested,,,
