Bryce- I'm in the wood camp but the mag risers have some benefits- firstly, you have a grip selection- high, medium, or low and secondly, the sight window is cut past center which may make it compatible with a wider variety of arrows. I only own one mag riser and four wood risers- B woods, A Mag. The magnesium riser is more economical for sure, works well and is usually durable. I'm not sure the riser is really that much more durable than the wood risers as many broke in the lower section beneath the limb socket but they show wear a little less and it doesn't hurt your feelings quite so badly to drop one. All in all, good pieces of equipment. But I'll still take my StyleI or II, lol. Grant
