kodiak hunters

Any help in with a KT74027, Kodiak hunter?

The guy says the glass is green, but it's not a blue stripe riser or the green/brown combo. What else was there?

I won't be able to see the bow or pics till next tuesday.

From 70 until about 72 I think they were two tone wood with a wood accent strip dividing them.  I liked the look better than the colored actionwood greenies.

My 70-71 KH has the grey glass, not green.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago that the owner said it didn't have green wood but when I got there it was a green wood model 73-75. I'm thinking this might be the same case as the one you are checking on. The 76 I have has gray glass on the limbs and the overlays are green as well. The 73-75 had dark green glass on the limbs and white overlays on the handle front.

A 1976-77 handle will look like this.

interesting I bought a 76 from Trap, which turns out to be a 73-75..as it has the white overlay like Jacks pic.

Does the gray glass discolor any?
I'm hoping the bow the guy has is 70-72 with the wood not the green futurewood.

Thanks for the help, I'll post some pics of the bow when I get it.

I wouldn't think the gray should change much. The seller may have been mistaken about the glass color, or it may happen to be one made with the wrong glass color. Not likely, but has happened before.

super yellowed original finish over green or gray fiberglass can cause a little color confusition sometimes also.
I believe the KH serial number came along somewhere in 1976 at least thats what the hand writen date on my reciept from june of 1976 is KH-XXXX.
Also there are a couple missing from the list which would be
1969 KH Shedua white overlays 1969 KH shedua black & white overlays 69 KH all shedua all black overlays and of course the tigerwood models with black & white and tigerwood with all black. There were actually several different Kodiak Hunter from 1969 bd
