Value of 2 collectables
« on: July 15, 2010, 01:56:00 PM »
I have a line on an original Jim Brackenbury recurve and also a 3pc takedown Adcock recurve. Could someone give me an idea of their worth?

Thanks

James

...just my opinion, but I do not think the Brack bows demand much attention, and not sure why.  Jim was a great bowyer and had a big influence on bowyers like Wes Wallace and others.

Condition and weight of the bow would influence the price, but $350 would be about max for one around 50# and in excellent condition.

As for Adcock, don't know.

There was an original Brack longbow for sale not too long ago that sold for ~$250 I think.

An Adcock recurve? That has to be rare. Didn't know Adcock made recurves.
