!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO BOW TRANSACTIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: August 11, 2010, 01:55:00 PM »
NO buying, selling, trading or "looking for" bow posts allowed ANYWHERE in Trad Gang except the Trad Bow Classifieds.

"alerts" are allowed, such as a head's up to a historic bow for sale on our trad bow classifieds or listed within an auction site such as "fleabay" or "craig's list" - in all cases, buyer beware!

ROB

This is the History and collecting Forum.

My understanding is that it is OK to do that on this forum.

Even the quidelines posted by Terry give us a slight exemption to reference e8ay her for old collectible bows.

Guidelines say Please keep all topics related to the forum designation.

E.B.A.Y. posts are not allowed anywhere on Trad Gang but here only as an alert to older bows for sale.

Please refrain from posting non-related E.B.A.Y. topics or any other topics not related to History/Collecting.

Thanks for your understanding.

I want to obide by the rules, but I am getting mixed messages as to what we can and cannot do here.

fleabay alerts of potential good bow buys, et al,  are still ok.

what's not ok is any form of personal bow ad post.

the only eggshells around here are the ones you create.  the rules are very clear when it comes to posting a personal ad in a non-classified forum.

take a chance and live a little, joe - don't be afraid to post, we ain't gonna hurt ya none, promise.

Hi Rob,

I realize this site is a private endeavor but you and the other modernators are way too much control freaks. I have deleted this site from my favorites and will not visit again. We won't miss each other, I am sure.

we're not looking to please everyone, only PROTECT the MEMBERSHIP.  if you can't understand that, you don't know what it's like to maintain an aggressively active 25k member forum.  and in that respect, yer totally clueless and ignorant.

good luck, joe!   :wavey:

A good defense is a strong offense.

Did I offend you?

Dang guys, I've got several bows that I would love to post here, but I've understood the rules from day one. What's the problem? This forum is the best history and information forum on the internet. Period. Ask a question and you will get informed answeres . Ask the value of a bow and you will be answered (answer is : whatever someone is willing to pay. LOL)!
Want an older Wing? I've got some. Want an older Browning? I've got some. Want an older ElDorado, I got one. BUT you need to watch the classifieds to see when I'm selling them. Want an older Bear? Don't even look, because I got it from Jack and my daughter says it is not for sale!

Nope, wrong bow. This is the one you graciously traded to me for a quiver. My daughter still loves it and I think it will always have a home here or with her. I have shot that bow a lot lately just to loosen up.
