Ben Pearson Lady Sovereign
« on: October 07, 2010, 03:01:00 PM »
Does anyone know anything about a Ben Pearson Lady Sovereign bow? I had a Lord Mercury Sovereign bow for awhile and believe this must have been in the same series. This bow is absolutely beautiful and is marked Ben Pearson Lady Sovereign. I can't find any source of information. I thought my granddaughter might want it, but it seems that she likes compounds.

I have one that is 24# @ 26 inchs

My wife shoots it.

Mine was originally owned by ANN CLARK, top traditional Champion on the '60's

I looks just like a Lord Mercury but is 62" and has had the grip worked dow to be really thin.

Before I got it, someone had drilled the capsuls and removed the mercury

With the right set of arrows it is a great shooter.

What do you plan to do with yours.  If you are going to sell it, I would be interested in it if it is in good shape and the mercury capsuals are in tact.

PM me if you want to make a deal.

Thanks for the information. I didn't know this bow had mercury installed as did the Lord Mercury. There isn't a blemish on the bow. As I said, I bought it some time ago for my granddaughter, but now that she's 13 she wants a compound bow and a pickup truck to carry it in.

JIM

How did you come by it...that is always interesting?

I know you bought it for your grand daughter, but were you out looking for a bow for her, or did you just happen across it.  Sometime we find our gest bows by accident.  SERENDIPIDY..,

Not all of the Golden Sovereign line had mercury, most did not. I have what I believe is a 62 or 63 Lady Sovereign that has the most beautiful Brazilian rosewood I've ever seen. It's going to be looking for a new home soon! CKruse

Yeah, just realized my mistake.  Mine is a Lady Mercury, with the capsuals, although somebody drilled them and removed the mercury.  Still a good shooter.

There is a Lady Sovereign on e8ay right now, 29# @ 26" with a starting bid of $150, and no bids yet.    Is that yours, Jim?

The Lord Sovereign is bacicall a Lord Mercury without the Mercury,  and a Lady Sovereign is basically a Lady Sovereign without the mercury.

So, I guess I have a retro Lady Sovereign since the mercury has been removed.   :knothead:

I meant JIM SWANSON...

But what are you (AALLFAB) going to be asking for your Lady Mercury, and what are the specs on it?
