Just a bit of an update, I am finally shooting over my chronograph and I just shot the 38 bow at 180 fps with an arrow that weighs 442 grains. Not too shabby for a 50 year, actually I guess 51 year old bow.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Just shot the same arrow with the 45 and it is going 192. By the time I have shot all winter and can draw this bow a bit longer I should have a 200 fps 50 year old recurve at a bit less than 9 grains per pound.
