Are the takedowns that were made with 3rivers better than the newer ones.I.E. The ones made within the last 5 years. I am trying to decide which one to buy.

I wouldn't necessarily say better...they'll be similar. You'll see more differences with the takedowns from the '80s and '70's.Not better or worse just different grips. They all shoot fantastic and you won't be sorry with any in my opinion.

You can pay a grand for one from 3Rs with the prettier woods or around half that for one now with normal woods.
