Any ideas

A friend of mine recently picked up this bow. Have no clue what it is. It is backed with what appears to be sinew with fiberglass on the other side. Some kind of mark or stamp on the upper limb. Stamped in the riser is Pat.2316880. Tips reinforced. Late 40's? Very well made bow.

The patent was granted on April 20, 1943

Work is blocking the patent images for some reason... maybe someone else can click on "Images" and see who the patent was issued to.
