A picture is worth a thousand questions to place it.

Some may know by serial number....but not me.

There is a post here by Wade to ID bear Kodiaks....with alot of photos and descriptions.

It will take you where you wish to go, my friend.

God Bless

Quick go at it, I would say a 57 and you appear to be missing a limb tip. These are very nice shooting bows.

Hey Larry, I have been there and with my own wireless.

Not sure that males over the age of 45 should be allowed to operate wireless devices.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

On further reflection:

You are holding your wife's dog in your pic

You use your wife's wireless device

Are you sure that 62 KS does not belong to your wife as well, and if it does, could you get her to call me please.

Would love to find me one of those. Maybe one of these day's I will. Nice bow, put a tip overlay on that and you'll have a good shooter. Jason

59, bd is the man to talk to on how to fix the limb tip. I believe he covers that in his restoration 101 thread.

The coin, I believe, started in 1959.  I personally would not shoot it with out the overlay restored.  The Bowdoc's "restoration 101" covers on how to do it.

Now that this beauty is in my shop for new tip overlays, I'd like to add a little more to this. The tip overlays are not only missing, the limbs are shortened.
My guess is the overlay on the top limb was coming off and the bow was still being used.
The belly side of the upper tip shows signs of the glass being lifted and reglued. I'll need to add underlays as well as new tip overlays.

Please get some pics up as you work on this one. It would be fun to see progression in repairs. I have a 57 at 60#. A bit stout now but when I did shoot this bow found it to be a solid performer with clean looking vintage lines.
