$ 8900 for a Signature without the booklet! It looks the prices are coming back hight.What do you think?It was used too.

I was a little surprised that it hit that price way over an hour before closing.

I sat and watched wondering if it was going to skyrocket more the last 3 seconds like so many do.

Not like we have many "past solds" to compare to on the fleabay. lol

Still a nice one, out of my league.....like so many others.

Beautiful bow but unbelievable price !
Way out of my league too !
I actually thought 4500.00 and maybe I'd try for it .
Do you know if the signatures came in more than one type of presentation boxes ? a friend says he had the bow with the gold latches and clear glass but the way he described the box didn't match what I was looking at on fleabay . He said his had a small compartment on the lower left for the string

Yes, they are stunning!

The box was original and can be authenticated in many original Bear documents. All the Signature bows I have seen or owned that are in boxes are always in these wooden boxes with the liner.

Hey Wade, I just picked up a LH 60 Kodiak with serial number BH667 to go with my RH BH376 and BH377. These three bows, along with the one Jack Shanks calls his Owl Bow, all have the sharply tapered limbs and small tips. I am increasingly of the opinion that BH was the initials of the bowyer and that they were a speed freak.

The highest one I have ever seen sell went for $10000 so $8900 for SER# 30 I almost bid but dont totally have that much disposable funds right now. It was difficult but I held back. It sure was about the prettiest one I have seen. Jim

Nice, Thanks for bring me up to speed on the pretty box set.
DAVE, I have a 60RH 50# BH745. This has very small tips and,although I have nothing to compare to, I thought they looked like pretty tiny tips. This bow has such a wonderful shape to it that I thought about reproducing it. Sweet looking bow.

I just remembered I have a '66 in the shop for a refinish job and the tips on that are about twice as wide as on the BH '60

There is another pattern developing here. We now have 5 bows in this series and they are all pretty much pristine. There was something about those bows that attracted archers who would look after them a little differently. We say it lightly some times, but these bows are FIFTY ONE YEARS OLD.

I am going to post a new thread for BH prefix bows and see just how far we can take this.

You could be correct with your suspicions. I pretty much take these auctions at face value, but shill bidding is always a possibility.

Time will tell if #30 resurfaces or if the seller lists other Signature bows.

Not that interested in a boxed production bow but could see spending that kind of money on a documented bow owened and hunted by Howard Hill,Fred Bear, Bob Swienheart, Eroll Flynn, Paul Shafers buffalo bow, etc...... bows with some real history........but thats just me.

hvyhitter I was thinking the same thing !

The friend I mentioned earlier ,I showed him the pic of the one that just sold .He said thats the one ! he was given the bow when he was in his mid 20's didnt really have any use for it so he sold it for $150.00.
He's heartbroken !!
