Birch in lam bows?

Anybody use birch (curly birch specifically, but and birch generally) in thier fiberglass lam bows? Risers? A good chunk of curly birch would look pretty neet. Limbs? Same thing, it should lok cool if it is possible.

Elk ninja, it works. Anyway. In the riser and in limbs. For risers try to find Karelian or Polar birch from the Far North. Beauty....

First laminated bow with birch core that I know was dated by XI century, so called Novgorod bow. Sinew backing, birch core and juniper belly.

That is actually the dymondwood or superaction or whichever version of the high quality birch that Black Widow is using. I am thinking more along the lines of a log, or a chuck of lumber type deal.
