Christmas came early this year.

With a quick glance she might be mistaken for a Grayling wood riser.

But look again,
She just might be the most unique green stripe riser I ever saw and PapaBear held and signed it too.
I'm not typically fond of blondes but that is changing quickly!

I met Fred in 1986 at the Buck Rub event at the Waukesha Expo Center. He signed a 1986 Kodiak I bought there. Quite a day for me !

Funny Mike,I met Fred at a Buck Rub event as well. I thought it may have been the same one. (Losing track of the years)

I've been wanting to post my pix on here for a while just couldn't find the book in all the boxes stored in the shed. Well after putting the Xmas decorations away the other day and some mild weather I did some reorganizing and found it.

I see it was 1978. I went there with Kelly Peterson. He took the pix with an old Kodak instamatic. I can't remember if we were early or just not many people there. But Fred was all by himself and looking bored at the Bear display. I had a nice chat with him and he was very entertaining. It was great!

Like many I'm sure, Fred was the one that inspired me as a kid to hunt with a Bow & Arrow. I remember the American Sportsman show on TV.

Will finally be building my shop-man cave this summer. Looking forward to setting it up!!!!!

I always wanted to take a ferry across the lake and visit the Museum when I lived in Wisconsin. Never happened. I sure wish Bass Pro or someone would display his stuff again.
I'm really glad I got to meet him and have the pix of the moment. Grainy or not.
I envy you guys with the foresight to collect some of those old Bows.

Here is a rare item I wanted to share that Fred signed afew times. It is his passport from the first trip he took to Africa in 1955 (well documented). I got it from Dick Lattimer's estate, a while back (also in the 1st pic is a little plastic case with Fred's dry flys he carried). Hope you enjoy..
