Well, on a "roll" lately.

Finally got the strings for this bow the correct length. Bottom limb IS twisted yet dont show till strung.

Strings I ordered for it came with the loops so UNtightly wound that one side has the nock groove between the windings. (both of em) I have used this stringmaker for the past several strings needed. These dont even look like the same guy made them. HE got an email too.

And, on top of that, me being a moron, left a positive feedback for the seller since he did get it to me fast.

The twist WAS a question I asked him about and clearly asked him to check it STRUNG (with a too short string he had).

And I passed up another bow Id have rather had but had spent the funds already on this one.

      :banghead:            :banghead:            :banghead:

Cant blame anyone but myself. I asked the seller if he would still stand behind it.....not holding my breath though. My error leaving feedback too soon.

Ah well, the price we pay for trusting others sometimes (aka being stupid).

Money from a very tight budget spent on junk bow and two junk strings. Hey, IM GOOD, huh? lol

Why cant ya shoot it? If the twist is the concern just straighten it. Hold the string in place and while strung twist the opposite way, do this a few times over several days and it will correct itself, than shoot it! Shawn

Regardless of the supposed bow weight being 42, these are VERY stiff limbs. I'm going to try but short of putting a pipe wrench on it, I dont see how Im going to get it to twist back.

Thanks though

I'd string it up and twist the twist the oppisite direction it is twisted.Should be fine.Cross weave glass is not one of the stronger backings used on bows but it worked OK in the 50's and early 60's.......I gotta go with the herters guys on this one.Jason has one that the twin to yours. His fatehr bought it from herters sometime in the eary 1960's bd
