Who likes a Dogleg?
« on: July 12, 2011, 11:26:00 AM »
I think that is a cool looking bow but I don't know anything about them. Who would be so kind to clue me in? Please.

I think they look cool.  4Runr is fixing the tips on a Type II Grizzly for me.  I should have this bow in a week or so and let you know my thoughts on how it shoots.  I have often read very positive feedback on their shooting characteristics - just like Migra Bill's for the Kodiak.

They do have a a pretty large grip though.  It's a totally different grip from the 1962 Grizzly I have and the 1964.

Fast, stable, sexy and points very well and no need to mention like ALL vintage-bears it has SOUL!!!!!

OOOOOOMMMMFFFF!
I Sure do thank you all for the feedback and to oldschool for them great pics. Now i must find me one. I have a 30" draw so what are my best options? I see some of oldschools are 62" so that is a plus. I really like the lines of that Grizz type I. Now I have to go back to the classifieds and look again.

I can't comment on the 30" draw part, but I will add that the Kodiak will shoot circles around the Grizzlys. At least in my experiences.

What length did they make the Kodiaks in? I do kinda like the looks of that centerfold model. Who has a picture of a dogleg cub? That would be cool to see.

The Kodiaks were only 60".
Neither Grizzly were prone to failure.

Be right back with Dogleg Cub Pics.

Chuck I will have a type II Griz with me this weekend.  You're certainly welcome to take it for a spin.

Maple Riser and Cream/Yellow glass on mine. The glass colors are somewhat random though. I have seen a few different variations.
Yes, the leather on the grip and strikeplate is factory and original pigskin.

The Cub does look cool....

Nick, if them Grizzlies are as bad as you say you might as well just give them to me.  I'd be willing to sacrifice myself so you are not hindred with such inferior shooting bows  :)   :)

Hey, you know I have to try.   :)

Colin,
HAHA. I will try to endure and suffer through having them on the rack. If it gets too bad, I will be sure to look you up!
