I use a cabel's, Alaska and guide frame, it's designed for packing out 150 lbs. of meat, I use it to carry and my double bull and my day pack, but since I purchased my Lone Wolf Alpha hang on and climbing sticks, I haven't used by Alaska guide frame.
The difference between yours and mine, is the area around the lower back is all padded and the straps are about 2 1/2 inches wide with padding. So it makes a little more comfortable. I have been talking with guys after I packed out of place standing in talking for about an hour, the calm and I get " boy that pack must be comfortable even standing here for 45 minutes with it on", and it is its comfortable I can pack in a lot of weight with, but then again I ask myself why ! So that's when I went to the Lone Wolf products, they're lightweight, and I stopped taking three gourmet meals in, I haven't used a double bull T5, I have been mostly hunting out of tree stands, I purchased a T 2, and I like that, I put in the light rods, and I don't use the Alaska and guide frame to take everything in.
And they are right " do you put the deer on top of the tree stand" ? It looks like you got that packed up with the port a potty, sure does look like there's a lot of stuff in there, but you do make me feel good, mine is not packed up that bad, I carry and a backpack and my tree stand and steps, the land that I'm hunting now, is also landlocked, we have to walk in a mile to a mile and a half, depending on where we go on the land. And you're right about this sweat stuff. It was 4° the other day, and after getting my stand I was still sweating, I purposely walk slow and deliberate. Still had sweat.
But if that pack works for you, that's all that counts.
